YSL "60 year anniversary"

Fue en febrero de 2022 cuando me inunde de Paris. Recorrí esas calles con su invierno frio y ventoso pero a la vez iluminado y maravilloso.

Museos - Exhibiciones - Glamour - Street Style - Vidrieras - Rue de Rivoli - Galeries Lafayette y tanto mas (incontable).

It was in Febrary of this year when I immersed myself in Paris. I walked around those wintery-cold and windy streets of this bright and wonderful city.

El Museo de Yves Saint Laurent Paris propuso un recorrido alrededor de las colecciones permanentes de 6 museos Parisinos para celebrar el aniversario 60 desde su primer "Haute Couture Collection" en nueva sede en Paris, poco mas de un mes después de inaugurar YVES SAINT LAUREN Fashion House y la creación del logo YSL.

Pude ver dos de estas muestras, Musée du Louvre y Musée Yves Saint Laurent Paris ( el segundo Yves Saint Laurent esta en Marrakech ), una interminable muestra de dibujos (sketches ) desde los primeros a los últimos que hizo donde YSL anuncia su retiro en 2002. Un pasillo contiene los primeros pañuelos en algodón diseñados por el, donde es hasta agradable ver los pedazos faltantes en cada articulo ... viejos y con tanta historia encima. El señor YSL era un grato amante de los accesorios, así fue que puso un ojo profundo en zapatos, sombreros, pañuelos, pashminas, y para que sus queridas chaquetas tengan ese "EXTRA", diseñaba botones ... desde los mas simples en madera, hasta los mas coloridos y escandalosos en piedras, y mas siempre mas para este gran diseñador

The Museum of Yves Saint Laurent Paris proposed a journey around the permanent collection that already exists in 6 Parisian Museums to celebrate the 60th Aniversary since the first " Haute Couture Collection" in what ( back then ) used to be the new seat in Paris, a little after the inauguration of YVES SAINT LAURENT Fashion House and the creation of the logo YSL.

I was able to see two of those exhibitions, Musée du Louvre and Musée Yves Saint Laurent ( the second Yves Saint Laurent is located in Marraketch ), an endless sample of sketches since the very first ones and the last ones in 2002 when YSL annaunces his retirement.

A hallway contains the first scarves made of cotton desingned by him, where it is even nice and cute to see missing parts in every piece ... very old pieces with so much history.

Mister YSL was a great lover of accesories, that is why he had a particular eye for shoes, hats, scarves, and for his dear jackets to have the important "EXTRA" he designed the buttons ... the simplest in wood, even the most colorful and scandalous ones with stones ... and more , always more for this great designer.

Existe una pequeña sala en el segundo piso del museo con una línea de sillas ( como algún elegante y privado cine ), donde pasan una y otra vez un video de 15 minutos de la vida profesional del señor YSL. Fotos inéditas, videos, Fashions shows, etc.

El Smoking, el conjunto de saco y pantalón, las transparencias y su famosa chaqueta africana (foto arriba en el medio), La Colección Rusa, la Española y la China; La Colección Homenaje a Picasso, y así año tras año impactaba siempre con esa elegancia y ojo único al detalle ... del sobrio negro a las colecciones llenas de color ( colores que el mismo agradecía haber descubierto en un viaje a Marrakech ), son entre muchos otros ejemplos exhibidos.

There is a small room on the second floor of the Museum, with a line of chairs ( like an elegant and private movie theater ), where they show one time after the other a 15 minute video with the professional life of YSL. Unedited photos, videos, fashion shows, etc.

"The Smoking", "The Pantsuit","The Transparent", "The famous African jacket" ( see picture above in the middle ), The Russian Collection, The Spanish Collection, The China Collection, The Tribute to Picasso Collection ... year after year he impacted everyone with his elegance and unique eye for details ... from the sober black to the colorful collections ( colors that he himself discovered on a trip to Marraketch ), are some of many examples displayed. .

( El Museo tiene dos pisos, y una tienda para comprar libros y souvenirs entre muchas cosas mas ).

Sumergiéndome solo un poquito en su historia, siendo un dato muy importante ... YSL fue asistente de Christian Dior, comenzando en 1955. Dos años después Dior fallece y YSL es nombrado su sucesor. En 1957 fue su ultima colección para 'House of Dior'.

* Adoré esta exhibición. Y al estar tan poco tiempo expuesta , debo recurrir a la famosa frase que dice "Tuve suerte de estar en el lugar y tiempo correctos".

Immersing myself only a little in his story learned that YSL was an assistant to Christian Dior back in 1955. Two years after Dior died and YSL was named his sucessor. In 1957 was his last collection for "House Of Dior"

* I adored this exhibition, I was lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time.
