St. Croix Getaway - Highly Recommended

St. Croix is part of the US Virgin Islands and only a short plane ride away from Puerto Rico. We went there in 2014. You can only reach it by Ferry or Cessna Prop. We stayed at a Marriott owned Renaissance property were we got a free upgrade to a lavish beach front cabana. The trick to vacationing here is to pick your dates intelligently: Check the Cruise Ship schedules which dump thousands of travelers onto a small population island for a couple of days at time. According to the locals you can really feel the difference. In between landings the island is a paradise for nature lovers, people who need a break from the City and especially divers. If you stay at the Carambola Beach resort & spa you can swim to a vertical coral wall : Davis Bay Wall right from the beach.
